Welcome to Nor'easter News
New to the website this season is the weekly Nor'easter News column that will provide coverage of Division III men's soccer throughout the New England region, home to the NESCAC, one of the nation's strongest and deepest conferences, as well as the NEWMAC, CCC, LEC and others. Each week the more significant results of the previous week will be discussed, along with impressions and analysis, followed by the selection of a game to keep an eye on in week ahead.
Authoring this weekly regional report is Henry Loughlin, a Brandeis University graduate (2014, Politics & American Studies) who has enjoyed watching Division III soccer for six years—the first as a freshman at Roger Williams University and the subsequent five as a Brandeis student and alumnus. Never a competitive soccer player himself, instead a runner in both high school and college, he has long been a fan of the beautiful game, and was the Sports Editor of the Justice, Brandeis' independent student newspaper, when the Judges advanced to the Sweet 16 in both 2012 and 2013. Though a writer by trade, his interest in numbers and statistical analysis makes soccer writing and commentary a favorite pastime.
